Do you know how is a fragrance created? Who is behind the creation of a perfume? How is the perfume trade is organised? Here is the first post of a series of blogs where we take you behind the scenes of how perfume is created...
Orange blossom is a multi-faceted scent (almost a fragrance in itself!); it is very complex and can be interpreted within a large palette of notes. Sometimes, it builds on its heady, floral (almost animalic) facet while at the same time, it has a fresh, baby-like, soapy clean scent.
Layering is a simple way to mix different scents together. It’s a great entry into creating your own bespoke fragrance - it also lets you play with all the fragrances that you already own! And you don’t need any blending materials because you can just layer scents directly on your skin.
My path as a professional “smeller”
My name is Emmanuelle. I am French, from a small town in the north east of France and I have been a fragrance professional for over a decade. I founded the Experimental Perfume Club in 2015 because I wanted to offer people the opportunity to understand the world of fragrance and become part of a community of creators within a micro-perfumery concept.
