Rather than taking away a single custom blend, I ended up selecting one of the Creation Sets so I could blend the three notes I chose (cardamom moss, sandalwood and jasmine) at home. It was really easy to use the kit at and means I can make the scent more woody or more floral depending on my mood. The little bottles were also perfect for travel. If you’re a bride and want to create a unique scent for your wedding I’d really recommend going to EPC! Oh and the perfume lasted for my whole wedding day - I was so impressed.

I loved this set so much!!! It was so cool to have three fragrances you could wear on their own, and then the chance to blend them together in different combinations. I used Fig Neroli and Amber Iris together, and the blending guide helped me work out how to do it. I love to wear the Rose Rhubarb on its own - I love having many different fragrances to choose from! This is also great because I love to travel and they fit in my hand luggage. Brill product.

01. Discover

Spray each Fragrance Essential into the cap or onto your skin to explore its personality.

Note your preference between the fresh Top notes, the soft Mid notes and the warm Base notes.

Take your time to smell all nine Essentials: each one is a finished Eau de Parfum you can wear alone or blend.

02. Choose

Select 2 or 3 Essentials to blend.
For a well balanced blend, choose from different categories:

  • One Top (yellow)
  • One Mid (pink)
  • One Base (blue)

You can choose within a single set or mix across all nine Essentials.

If you prefer to personalise your trio, create your own set by selecting one Essential from each category.

03. Compose / Formulate

Rank your chosen Essentials from favourite to least favourite.
Your favourite will form the main character of your blend. 

Create a 10 part formula.

Give the highest number of parts to your favourite Essential and work your way down from there.

 Examples:

  • With two Essentials: 6 parts favourite + 4 parts second choice
  • With three Essentials: 5 parts favourite + 3 parts second choice + 2 parts third

Write down your formula before blending so you can recreate it in the future.

04. Blend

Use the pipette to add each Essential to the blending bottle, following your formula.
Start with the fragrance that has the highest number of parts. Wipe the pipette between each Essential.

Work on a flat surface and use the holes in the packaging to keep your bottles steady as you count each part.

Wipe the pipette with a clean paper towel between Essentials if you wish. Wiping is optional and you should never wash the pipette.

05. Sign

Close the bottle and gently shake to combine your blend.

Spray on your skin to experience your finished perfume.

Give your new fragrance a name and note down your formula.

06. Enjoy

Wear your creation immediately or let it settle for a few hours.

You can also enjoy each Essential individually as a complete Eau de Parfum.

The palette is designed to be harmonious, so it is impossible to create something that does not work.
