Amber Iris opens the set with the true, classic amber: vanilla, frankincense, myrrh and labdanum, softened by ambrette seed and iris absolute, animalic Ambroxan and patchouli underneath. Dark and enveloping, powdery where it needs to breathe. Ambre Épices takes that same amber and turns it towards spice; dry, hypnotic, oriental, built by blending Bergamot Incense into Amber Iris until the two become a third scent entirely their own. Together, they read as one idea in two registers: amber bare, and amber dressed for the heat.
