Delivery and Returns - Experimental Perfume Club

1. Delivery destinations and couriers

We ship to the UK, EU and the rest of the world, to selected countries.

Within the UK we use Royal Mail, DPD and Fedex.

For international shipments we use DHL, DPD and Fedex.

  • The table below outlines the cost by product type and by region/country. The costs may be updated from time to time, but the final shipping cost will always be displayed at checkout. When checking out in euros and US$ currency, the cost below will automatically convert to the selected currency.
  • We do not ship to countries that are not in the table below
  • The time frame in which your parcel is delivered may be quicker than indicated. In rare occasions, it can take longer than indicated (see more details on sections below mentioning possible reasons for delays).

Our orders are shipped from the UK. Please note that shipping perfume products internationally is regulated under dangerous goods shipping rules as these are flammable products. As a result, the cost of shipping perfume internationally is high. We absorb most of this cost to enable our customers to order from us internationally.

2. Delivery time frame

Our orders are sent from the UK which means that international deliveries to Europe and the rest of the world may take longer than when shipped locally.

All delivery time frames indicated on the table above start from the dispatched date (order completion).

Customers will receive the tracking number (when applicable) and an email notification when their parcel has been dispatched (titled “Your order is now complete”).

If for some reason, we are exceptionally delayed in sending your parcel, due to an item being out of stock or a shortage of staff in our logistics, we aim to email you to let you know of the delay.

Your order may be dispatched with a delay:

(a) if we need further information from you (such as personal identification number required for certain countries: Italy, Spain, Norway and India)

(b) if you have entered an incorrect shipping address and contact details

(c) if we are temporarily out of stock

3. Delivery types and added taxes by region

UK delivery: Not tracked for small / medium parcels or tracked for very large parcels. May be eligible for free shipping.

Europe: Tracked. Price may be adjusted at checkout depending on the VAT rate in place in your country. All taxes are pre-paid at purchase, there are no further charges upon receipt to all countries within the European Customs Union. Only a few selected countries outside the European customs union may be subject to additional customs tariffs payable by the recipient. 

Please note European destinations are subject to customs controls which may cause delays (see further details on the “delays outside our control “section below). 

Rest of the world: Tracked. May require additional duties and taxes to be paid by the customer at the time of delivery. These are not covered in our shipping rates. The value declared for customs purpose is the value of the physical item shipped (shipping fees and digital content will not be included in customs declaration).

Please note that some worldwide destinations are subject to customs controls which may cause delays (see further details on the “delays outside our control “section below). 

International restrictions apply: we do not ship to all countries, you may check in the table above or enter your address at checkout to check whether we deliver to your address.

4. Returns rights

For most Products bought online (except for workshops and experiences) you have a legal right to change your mind within 28 days and receive a refund once the product has been returned unopened and unused.

Geographical limitations may apply to allow returns (please refer to the next section).

You do not have a right to change your mind / or cancellation in respect of:
(a) Products that are made to your specification or are personalised for you (ie: Scent Designer in some format size, Workshop creations);
(b) digital Products after you have started to download or stream these;
(c) services such as the workshops, once these have been completed or the date of the ordered workshop has passed, even if the cancellation period is still running;
(d) Products sealed for health protection or hygiene purposes, once these have been unsealed after you receive them;
(e) sealed audio or sealed video recordings or sealed computer software, once these Products are unsealed after you receive them; and
(f) any Products which become mixed inseparably with other items, used or damaged by you after their deliver.

5. Return eligibility & conditions:

UK return shipping fees are free.

Returns outside the UK are at your expense and are restricted based on your geographical location (see details below).

  • For UK returns (eligible to free returns) of Products please follow these steps:

(a) Email to obtain your returns label which can be printed at home.
(b) Complete all fields on the returns form provided via email.
(c) Ensure that the completed returns form is included inside your returned package and that the unused goods (tamper seals/stickers must not be broken) are wrapped securely in the same outer package in which you received them. Return your unused item(s) to: Experimental Perfume Club, 53 Monmouth Street London WC2H 9DG.
(d) Attach the returns label provided to the outside of the original box.
(e) Drop off your package at any Royal Mail or DPD Pickup shop. Find your nearest DPD depot by visiting and keep hold of your proof of returns receipt.


  • For European returns (at the customer’s expense) please be advised of the below:

(a) International shipping of perfume products is highly sensitive and specific customs invoices and labels must accompany any returned goods. We are trained in shipping perfume products so please contact us at prior to returning goods for advice. We are not responsible for actions taken outside of our advice (e.g. using a third party shipping company).
(b) Use the relevant postal service in your country to return the goods in their original box. Only use BY ROAD shipping method (often called “Economy”) and never by air. If required by the shipper, declare the value for customs purpose of the product inside as a returned product with a small value of 1 euro.
(c) Return your unused item(s) to: Experimental Perfume Club, 53 Monmouth Street London WC2H 9DG, UK and attach the address label to the outside of the original box.
(d) Send us your tracking number for your returned parcel to the email address provided above.
(e) It is highly recommended that items are returned in their original posting packaging due to perfume shipping regulations requiring specific labels to be visible on the box. Any items not returned in this matter may be destroyed through postal checks and therefore non-refundable.
(f) The return parcel may take several working days to be delivered to us. All returned goods will be examined and for reasons of hygiene we are unable to offer refunds on any opened or used goods. We will process your return within 14 days of being received and will notify you by email once your refund has been processed to your original payment method. During busy periods, please allow a maximum of 30 working days for your refund.


  • For Rest of the World returns (not possible) please be advised of the below:

Due to shipping restrictions on perfumes when sent by air, perfume items can not be returned from international addresses outside European addresses. We apologise for the inconvenience.

6. Delays outside our control (ie: customs formalities)

If our supply of the Products is delayed by an event outside our control we will offer support and we will take steps to minimise the effect of the delay.

We do not take responsibility for delays caused by Customs in a particular destination.

If customs in your country delay the progress of your shipment, neither the courier or the shipper (us) can have an influence on the timeline of the delivery. Couriers indicate an estimated delivery time frame, however, customs bodies work independently and do not have any legal responsibility to honour estimated delivery dates.

We allow a window of up to 60 days (8 weeks) from dispatch for the delivery of your product to be received to an international address before we can action a cancellation, refund or replacement of your product.

It is not possible to cancel your order while it is still in transit – after it’s been dispatched and before it’s been received. Any cancellation, refund or replacement of the item ordered will be actioned once received and returned by the recipient.
